Overview:
In this workshop, learn the efficient and skillful application of the Magic Loop technique for knitting socks, narrow sleeves, hats, and even mitten fingers. Say goodbye to conventional double-pointed needles that often break or get lost and discover the advantages of this innovative method.
Course content:
1. Introduction to the Magic Loop technique: basics and advantages of the technique.
2. Cast-on for socks: Learn to cast on from top to bottom and bottom to top.
3. Heel knitting: Techniques for knitting the heel on circular knitting needles without additional tools.
4. Elastic cast-off: Methods for flexible and comfortable cast-off of stitches.
Participation requirements:
- Knitting material : Circular knitting needles (4 to 5 mm) with a cable length of 80 to 120 cm. A smooth transition between needle and cable is important for smooth stitch gliding.
- Knitting experience : Advanced skills such as casting on, casting off, and circular knitting. Basic experience in sock knitting is advantageous.
- Positive attitude : joy and enthusiasm in learning new knitting techniques.
Course details:
- Duration: 2 to 2.5 hours, including short breaks.
- Food: coffee, tea, water, sweets and biscuits.
