We've recently started selling this soft and delicate wool. It's perfect for all kinds of knitted products and is suitable for all knitting enthusiasts.
This hand-dyed yarn is sold exclusively at Strick und Glück. This is an absolutely exclusive yarn, and we even dye it ourselves! The dyeing process is professional and environmentally friendly in our studio. The color is water- and lightfast.
Like many other yarns, this hand-dyed yarn is made from sheep's wool. But what many don't know is that the story behind the wool production is often bloody and rooted in the mistreatment and exploitation of sheep. Most of the wool is produced in Australia, and due to overbreeding and a certain type of parasite, animals on huge farms and in intensive farming are subjected to mulesing. After two to three years of shearing, the animals are shipped to slaughterhouses.
But that's not the case with us! Our pure wool comes from Switzerland, where the sheep live and are sheared without suffering. They are raised on mountain meadows and pastures and have plenty of space. This makes our hand-dyed wool particularly environmentally friendly !
Our hand-dyed wool is incredibly versatile! Each type, of which we have a wide variety, is suitable for different purposes. Softer, cozy types are perfect for baby clothes, while chunkier and warmer ones are perfect for sweaters and the like. What's more, each ball is unique! So, not only will you get a wonderful piece of clothing, but it will also be completely unique and impossible to repeat!
