Sweaters, jackets, stoles, scarves - more than just original knitting patterns can be found in this bush.
Tree of life, reindeer antlers, Inishmore, entwined cable patterns, various checkerboard patterns, patchwork patterns, and monastery windows—so many patterns and stitches that have been created by Luce Smits.
Luce Smits, a freelance designer and passionate philosopher, pays homage to Empedocles in this new work. For her designs, she selected the yarns Water, Fire, Earth, and Air from the WOOLADDICTS by LandYarns collection, named after the four elements. These timeless and comfortable knitwear reminds her of the streams in her childhood garden, the crackling fire in the fireplace, but also of war, fires, and volcanic eruptions.
At the same time, it draws a mental arc, evoking images of the inhabited and damaged earth; it recalls the air that suffers as a result of heat waves and pollution, yet still grants us the sublime blue sky above. Merino wool, cashmere, alpaca: exceptional yarns that everyone enjoys knitting and wearing are part of the WOOLADDICTS by LANGYARNS collection.
