Timeless Knits
Timeless knit design for sweaters and jackets

Knitting patterns for sweaters and cardigans by Regina Moessmer – each model in 11 sizes and five yarn weights. With this book, knitting designer Regina Moessmer solves a problem almost every knitter faces: the tiresome conversion of a pattern when you'd prefer to use a different yarn weight. Whether it's a knitting pattern for a sweater, cardigans, or accessories: If you like a design, you'd often like to knit it in other yarns – but not everyone wants to recalculate the gauge and increases and decreases. "Timeless Knits" therefore contains five basic patterns for classic cardigans and sweaters, which are already converted and adjusted for the five most common yarn weights. All patterns are knitted using the top-down method.
25 timeless designs: Five basic models in 11 sizes from 35 to 54
Each model in 5 yarn thicknesses, from 1,340m/100g to 160m/100g
Knitting without seams: All sweaters and cardigans are knitted using the top-down method (as a raglan from the top, straight shoulder or with the contiguous shoulder method)
Many additional model variations: Knit your favorite model with a stand-up collar, pockets or as a short-sleeved sweater
Knit a very special cardigan – create completely different looks with different yarn weights Regina Moessmer is known for her straightforward designs. What's particularly exciting about the models in this book is the extent to which the yarn weight used influences the design. The broken seed stitch pattern for model Caspar looks very delicate with thin yarn, while the thicker version adds structure to the sweater. The cable pattern for model Amelie is particularly easy for beginners to knit with the thicker yarn, while more advanced knitters will enjoy the fine cables. Anyone who enjoys knitting a sweater in one piece (without a single seam) will enjoy this book. The different techniques in each model keep the knitting exciting, but can also be easily implemented by ambitious beginners. Whether knitting a neckline, a rolled edge, or knitting pockets – each knitting pattern makes the hand-knitted sweater unique with small design details.
