About the authors
Di Gilpin; Sheila Greenwell

Sheila Greenwell is a former schoolteacher who, after completing her active service, devoted herself entirely to knitting. Ten years ago, she met Di Gilpin at a knitting meetup, who shared her love of traditional knitting. Di had actually only traveled to the Isle of Skye for a camping trip in the 1980s, but she remained fascinated by the landscape and the people there for 18 years. Today, both authors live in Fife, Scotland, where they produce sustainable wool in a joint company and research ganseys.
