FROM THE FOREWORD:
"Brioche, also known here as brioche stitch, is a soft and very structured rib knit. There are various types, with half brioche and full brioche forming the rib patterns. But there are more: there is also net brioche, pearl brioche, and cross brioche; these three examples form more flat patterns, one like a net, the other looking a bit like woven. But rib brioche in particular offers a seemingly endless variety of pattern possibilities, and that's why this book is about this variation. Whether you knit it in one color or two colors, the effect is simply fantastic and it's addictive to knit.
This is where "Just one more row, honey" takes on a whole new dimension, because it's simply thrilling to finish each pattern and see the whole thing unfold. I could hardly put my needles down once I started a project.
To help you get to grips with the technique, there are easy and more difficult projects. If you're new to the technique, there are a few models where the effect is achieved simply by changing the color, allowing you to concentrate fully on your stitches. All models are highly versatile: stole or poncho, bolero or scarf, shawl or jacket, and you can even get creative with how you wear them." (Sylvie Rasch)
