Free pattern: “Carmen” shawl from Strick und Glück

Circular needle No. 4 (60 or 80 cm)

Part "A"

Cast on 3 stitches on a size 4 circular needle.

1. ROW (= right side row): knit the stitches until 1 stitch remains, 1 yarn over, last stitch knit.
2. ROW (= wrong side row): Knit all stitches, knitting yarn overs twisted to avoid holes.

Repeat rows 1 and 2 continuously until the desired length of part "A" (see picture 1) is reached and continue with "part B". For the Camen scarf, part "A" is 85 cm long.

Part "B"

1. ROW (= right side row): knit 1 stitch, knit 2 stitches together, then continue knitting until there is 1 stitch left, 1 yarn over, knit 1 stitch.
2. ROW (= wrong side row): Knit all stitches until 3 stitches remain - knit 2 stitches together and knit the last one as well, making sure to knit the yarn overs twisted so that no holes are created.

Repeat rows 1 and 2 of "Part B" continuously. At the end, 2 stitches remain on the needle. Cast them off, cut the yarn, and fasten off.
